What is the thickness of corten cladding panels?
The standard thickness of corten cladding panels range between 2 to 3mm. However, you can customize the thickness to 10mm depending on your specific project requirements. Higher the corten steel facade panels thickness, the longer it will last.
How is rusted steel cladding attached? What is the minimum overlap for it ?
Rusted steel cladding is attached through mechanical fixings and adhesives. The manufacturer will recommend the overlap for corten steel wall cladding. Generally, a min 25 to 50mm overlap is used.
How to fix corten steel cladding ?
- Fix the hook on the inner wall.
- Cut and bend the Cor ten cladding to give a box shape.
- Then attach the lightweight cladding with adhesives.
- The heavy weight cladding is welded directly to the supporting structure which creates an integrated attachment.
- Residential corten steel cladding may also have interlocking panels which can be hooked together for simple installation.
